Hi,
I have a problem with an Azure Point-to-Site VPN user on Windows 8 Pro (64 bit). When this user is logged on with his standard windows domain user, any attempt to establish the Point-to-Site VPN connection fails with error"Custom script (to update your routing table) failed (8007025b)."
Additional information:
- When the user logs on with his local administrator account, the Point-to-Site VPN connection is successfully established.
- When he logs on with his standard domain user account, the Point-to-Site VPN connection fails with the above error message.
- Then I added his domain user account to Windows 8 local Administrators. But the Point-to-Site VPN connection still fails with the same error when he logs on with his domain user account.
In the last months I installed this exact Azure Point-to-Site VPN connection applet on two dozen Windows 7 (32/64bit) and a few Windows 8 (32/64bit) machines in four continents. Environments with different Windows domains, Domain Controllers running on different Windows Server versions (2003/2008/2008 R2), different languages, different Internet service providers, some users on wired networks, others on WiFi. No problems anywhere. In all cases the Azure Point-to-Site VPN connection is working. Windows 8 clients presented some challenges at times during the VPN installation, but they were resolved in all cases. Except the error that affects this single user.

I followed the recommendations on that thread, but the error still persists.
Changing the Point-to-Site VPN connection from public to private and viceversa didn't fix the issue either.

So, could someone shed some light on the root cause of this error and how to fix it please? The user is connected to the Internet through a data card. He's not on a LAN or WiFi network.
