Point-to-Site VPN Keeps Dropping Connections.

Greetings,

We have configured a point-to-site VPN connection between our Azure instance and a Windows 2008 R2 server.  The VPN works reasonably well, except the connection drops randomly.

Each time the VPN is reconnected, the IP address of the PPP adapter changes.  This causes issues for our application since it is dependent on the IP of the PPP adapter.

Is there any way to make the PPP IP address static?

Does anyone have any insight as to why our VPN connection drops randomly?
