We have a simple 2 node cluster set up but it seems the IP created as a resource and assigned to a role is only visible from the server that is currently active. Out private network is under 10.10.40.x range so we have tried both an IP in this range and also an IP in 169.254.x.x, in both cases a ping gives destination host unreachable.
We have various services that require to be fault tolerant so are run under a cluster and listen on the assigned cluster IP as they start up. It seems the Azure network doesn't allow communication to any IP other than the ones assigned by the DHCP to the server. Is there a way to get this working?
