Hi guys
Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I've been searching for days for an answer.
I have an azure subscription in which I've deployed quite a few objects (including a RemoteApp deployment). All resources are connected to a single vNET. This vNET has a gateway where multiple site-to-site VPN connections are defined. These VPN connections enable connectivity between remote braches and the Azure environment.
Because the VPNs are not very reliable, we have set up an ExpressRoute circuit in the same subscription. The setup was done in the ARM.
The goal is to move connectivity from site-to-site VPNs to ExpressRoute, with as little downtime as possible. For the future we will move the resources from ASM to ARM, but we are a bit stuck with RemoteApp which is only available on ASM (but this is another topic :))
So, my plan was to extend the management of the expressroute circuit into ASM and then link the vNET to the expressroute. All said and done, but this failed because the guys managing the network have not put everything in place. so then I had to revert everything, but because I had to wipe the gateway, restoring connectivity took some good minutes and was not a very pleasant experience...
My next option would be to create a new vnet in ARM, peer it with the vNET in ASM. But then, it's not very clear for me how would users access the machines in ASM via the expressroute? Are there any other changes required on the networking layer in Azure?
Thanks a million for the help!!!
