"Have a virtual machine in Azure and I can no longer reach it via RDP. Clicked the Connect button and downloaded a new RDP file and still can't get onto the machine. Can you help?
Ok, so RDP is not the issue. This VM has been running for over a year and it's always had a VPN connection back to a private network. I've checked the VPN and it's still up and running. I can ping private LAN resources from the VM and I can ping the VM from the private LAN. With that, I can RDP to the VM from the private LAN so that tells me RDP is not an issue. We have always been able to RDP to the VM from the outside using the Connect RDP file that you download but this week that has stopped working. We don't have and never have used Network ACL's or Network Security Groups. So I'm stumped as to what the issue could be. As I say, I can RDP from the private LAN over the established VPN but not direct from the WAN. Any ideas?"
