Hi there,
Azure Site Recovery (ASR) is exactly what I was looking for. I am trying to follow steps from “Set up protection between an on-premises Hyper-V site and Azure”
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/site-recovery-hyper-v-site-to-azure/
Everything was reasonably easy until I get to the network part. I am sorry to be such a noob here but I don’t understand what exactly needs to be done in regards network connectivity between an on-premises Hyper-V site and Azure Site Recovery?! I’m guessing that I need to create new Azure Virtual Network on which my failed over server can run. From my understanding Azure virtual network must be on different subnet to the on-premises network. After planned or unplanned failover, on-premises server will be down and the replica server will be up in the Azure Site Recovery… How the heck clients will be able to connect and use server from the Azure Site Recovery?
Thanks in advance.
