We have a Windows 10 test instance (D2), and we're running Wireshark on it to try to figure out an application issue.
However, after we shut the instance down and bring it back up, the default (and only) Ethernet adapter changes; it goes from Ethernet 2 to Ethernet 3 to Ethernet 4 etc. As part of that, Winpcap appears to break, and Wireshark shows no available capture interfaces (even when launched with administrator privileges) until it / Winpcap is reinstalled.
All changes to the NIC, such as disabling chimney/TCP reassembly and checksum offloading are also lost.
Is this expected behavior, and does anyone have tips or tricks to keep this from happening?
