Using existing expressRoute in second subscription gives an error: New-AzureDedicatedCircuitLink : BadRequest: This operation is enabled only for the following gateway mode(s): DedicatedCircuit.

We are trying to follow this great article https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/expressroute-share-circuit/ about sharing an expressroute connection across multiple Azure subscriptions but in the last stepNew-AzureDedicatedCircuitLink gives an error: "This operation is enabled only for the following gateway mode(s): DedicatedCircuit. "

I don't understand what is meant by this error or how to resolve this.

Any help would be appreciated.
