If I have 2 private Hyper-V 2012 R2 clusters (one at Live site and one at DR site) and want to utilise Windows Azure for off-site orchestration of the VM replicas (HRM), can I also use Azure Traffic Manager to automate the DNS failover for the entrypoint URLs to the platforms?
Everything I read about Traffic Manager seems to expect the load-balanced or failover VMs to be hosted on the Azure cloud itself, but with Hyper-V recovery manager the knowledge of the health of each private cloud is known, so it would seem sensible that the final piece of the puzzle (redirecting traffic to the DR site in the case of failure of the primary site) would go hand in hand.
So could I use both of these Azure feature together, while hosting my platform privately?
