unable to ping 2 Vms between 2 vnets

Have done the following steps:

1) Created a vnet1 having address space of 10.0.1.0\28 and crated localnet1 assigning  the gateway address  and address space of vnet1

2) created vnet2 having address space of 10.0.2.0\28 and created localnet2 assigning the gateway address and address space of vnet2

3) selected localnet2 for vnet1 and localnet1 for vnet2

4) successfully established connection beween vnet1 and localnet2, and vnet2 and localnet1 after setting the key

5)Created two VMs for each vnets and configured active directory on each vm along with DNS server after assigning static ip

6) Registered both th dns servers and selected both th the dns servers for both the vnets.

7) Restarted the VMs and then tried to ping using both the static ip as well as FQDN, but not working
